Chemistry

Understand the building blocks of matter by experimenting with acids, bases, and compounds,
turning abstract chemical reactions into fun, hands-on learning experiences.

Isotopes and Isobars (Game Description)

In this interactive Chemistry game, players explore the fundamental concepts of Isotopes and Isobars through a fun and engaging card-matching challenge. The objective is to sharpen players’ understanding of atomic structure by pairing element cards based on their atomic numbers and mass numbers.

Players will encounter a variety of element cards such as Oxygen, Carbon, Iron, Argon, Nickel, and Calcium, each displaying its unique atomic number and mass number. The challenge lies in correctly identifying and matching:

Isotopes — Elements that have the same atomic number but different mass numbers.

Isobars — Elements that have the same mass number but different atomic numbers.

To win, players must carefully study the properties of each element and strategically pair them according to these principles. Only when the correct Isotope or Isobar relationships are formed—such as matching mass numbers for Isobars or matching atomic numbers for Isotopes—does the match succeed.

Through this hands-on approach, players will strengthen their grasp of atomic composition, learn to distinguish between these closely related but distinct concepts, and apply their knowledge to solve puzzles grounded in real chemical principles.

By completing these challenges, learners build a deeper understanding of atomic structure and elemental properties—core ideas essential to mastering Chemistry

Character Line-Up

Arya found a hidden library in a castle at the end of the library is a safe which leadsto the exit of the castle but the combination on the safe is based on the atomic weight and mass value of a certain elements. The players need to find the right tomic weight and mass for these elements to unlock the gate and help Arya leave.
